This is a conspiracy, I am convinced. Since March 2020, till now,  our 6th grader is home, remote learning mostly. We did all the seemingly correct things, set up a home ”office”, equipped with all the tools, charts and support. Down to business, we are faced every evening with a tsunami of click links to assignments, timed response pre-tests, and study / view and answer material. He is currently in the Egyptian period,… I think, we do all the pre-work, take the pre-class test, and bam! can’t seem to get above 15 / 20 correct. This was not how I pictured my life, and I am guessing you did not either. Work all day, sprinkled with student task guidance, their lunch, and breaks, then transition into school mode 1 – 3 hours late afternoon / night. As all the teachers combined send, not kidding, up to 20 emails to the class at night, plot out 1 – 3 assignments with immediate due dates. As if Selling was not challenging enough, during the day, and especially end of day, saddled with a scary pile of read, act, submit on different platforms. Good news we got a 18/20 on Math! I am still having Sales success, but not so happy about “my” 6th grade report card. How do you cope with this challenge?
